Urzì also worked with film directors such as: Alessandro Blasetti, Luigi Comencini, Claude Chabrol, Charles Lizzani and Joseph Losey. Francis Ford Coppola chose him for the role of Vitelli, the sicilian father of Apollonia in "The Godfather" (1972). His awards include two Nastri d'Argento (1944-1965) and the prize as best actor at the Cannes Film Festival (1964).
