Pfc. Robert W. Murray Jr., of Westfield, Indiana was a 2002 Westfield High School graduate and attended Indiana State University where he studied aviation management. He was a licensed pilot and musician. Murray joined the Army in March 2004. He was shipped to Kuwait in late February and recently deployed to Iraq. He will be remembered as a hero who proudly served his country. He is survived by his parents, Robert and Katrina Murray, and two sisters. He died in Tal Afar when a guerrilla bomb exploded near his Stryker military vehicle at age 21.
