PFC Nathan E. Stahl, of Highland, Indiana. He enlisted in the Army after his 2003 graduation from Highland High School. After completing infantry, airborne and Ranger indoctrination training at Fort Benning, Georgia, he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment from Fort Lewis, Washington. Deployed with the unit to Iraq in the summer of 2004, he was killed when his vehicle was struck with an improvised explosive device. He is survived by his parents: Towina "Gail" (Rodney) Nightingale and Max E. (Ginny) Stahl; fiancee, Tiffany Metzler; sisters: Nichol and Abigail; Grandparents Georgene Stahl, Mary and Bill Vaught, George and Georgia Nightingale and Lorenzo Alticer; and several other relatives. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Max William Podgorski (1931-1998).
