Nina was born in Castro Valley, California, and grew up in nearby San Leandro.

She attended Washington Elementary School, Bancroft Junior High School, and San Leandro High School, graduating in 1976.

She continued to keep in touch with her childhood friends even after leaving the San Francisco Bay Area and moving to New York.

Nina R. Duffy, Clifton Park, NY, 56, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015.

She was born in Castro Valley, CA to the late Wilson Rose and Helen Butler Rose; she was the beloved wife of David D. Duffy for 31 years; mother of Ashley R. Duffy, Shannon M. Couse (Matthew) and Daniel P. Duffy (Emily); survived by 3 brothers, 1 sister and was sister-in-law to 6; She leaves behind 10 nieces and 9 nephews as well as many dear cousins and friends. She also leaves behind 3 dogs and 5 cats that she considered her "furry" family.

She was well known for her time spent as a Girl Scout Leader and her participation with Shenendehowa Wrestling Booster Club.

Interment Saratoga National Cemetery.
