Mrs. Mary Hazzard, widow of Lieut. Harry Hazzard died at the Potsdam hospital Tuesday, May 25. She was born June 25, 1885, in Potsdam the daughter of Joseph and Anna Ritchie LaPoint.
Mrs. Hazzard was married to Harry Hazzard who was a lieutenant in the World War, June 6, 1914 in Plattsburg. Lieut. Hazzard died about 2 years ago and since that time she has made her home with Sophia LaBrake, Washington Street.
Mrs. Hazzard is survived by two sisters, Mrs. John Gendron, Plattsburg, Mrs. Georoge Price, Massena and two brothers, Joseph LaPoint and Earle Arton, Potsdam.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary's church Thursday morning at ten o'clock Rev. T. J. Majoney officiating and the body was taken to Arlington cemetery, Washington DC., and buried beside her husban.
