Laura was an amazing woman, vivacious and full of fun and laughter. During her teen years, she was a member of Polaris Assembly No. 247 in California of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls. She served as a state officer in 1979 as the Grand Representative to Maine. Laura was well loved among her Rainbow sisters and will be greatly missed.

Laura was born in Sacramento on November 17, 1958 and entered into eternal peace on April 30, 2014 from cancer. She was the loving wife of Dave Otto for 24 years. Laura is survived by her sister Lisa (Don) Francesconi, nieces & nephews Taylor and Taryn Francesconi and Karen, Michelle, Alyssa, William and Danielle Otto and many family and friends. She worked for several restaurants, delis, caterers and the Employment Development Department. Laura was a generous and giving individual. She was always there for family and friends, many of us will cherish her memory and the gifts she bestowed on us just by her presence and encouragement. She was an active member with the Ladies Oriental Shrine and Rainbow Girls and enjoyed kayaking and crafts. Laura and her family extend their great thanks for the support extended to Laura during her cancer. Family and friends are invited for the Memorial Service on Friday, May 23, 2014, 5:00 PM, to be held at the Ben Ali Shrine Center, 3262 Marysville Boulevard, Sacramento. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Laura Otto to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Checks should be addressed to Shriners Hospitals for Children-Northern California and mailed to Shriners Hospital, attn: Bo Bacho, 2425 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95817.
