ORTNER, Jack - With close family by his side, Jack Ortner passed away at the age of 88. Loving father to Dan, Jacqie, and daughter-in-law, Susan; adored grandfather of Dan, Robyn, Amy, Hayley, Jack and Tessa Rose; dear brother of Flora and Vera; beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was also survived by his ex-wife, Mary Rose Dardano Ortner. Jack was a barber in San Francisco for 45 years, then began a second career as the manager of the Golden Pheasant Inn in Willows, CA until his retirement in 1995. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of his life on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 7 p.m. at the Neptune Society, 2419 Grove Way, Castro Valley. His kindness will be missed by many.
