Stanley M. “Buddy” Shuta, 69, of Dickson City, died Monday evening at the Golden Living Center, Scranton. His wife, the former Beverly Justave Shuta, died Oct. 1, 2008.
Born in Dickson City, son of the late Stanley J. and Stella Guzenski Shuta, he was a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City. He was a graduate of Dickson City High School and attended Johnson Technical School. Before retirement, he was employed as a machinist at General Dynamics.
He was a loving and caring father, grandfather and uncle who enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time in the outdoors. His family would like to thank the staff at the Golden Living Center, especially nurses Karen and Dave, and AseraCare Hospice, especially Jenna, for their compassionate care. He will be missed by all his family and friends.
Surviving are two daughters; two sons; two grandsons; a stepgrandson; two stepgranddaughters; and a nephew.
The funeral will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the Frank T. Mazur Funeral Home Inc., 601 Dundaff St., Dickson City, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Mary’s Visitation Church. Entombment, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Dickson City.
