Mrs. Edwina King, 46, of 504 W. 6th Ave., died last Friday at Proctor Hospital.
Mrs. King was born at Blue Mountain, Miss., Nov. 9, 1922, a daughter of Frank and Bernice Gray Jones and was married in 1942 to R. L. King. She came to Peoria six years ago and was employed by Murphy's Restaurant and Lounge.
Surviving are her husband of Blue Mountain, Miss.; four sons, Lee Randle King with the U.S. Navy in the Philippines, Charles Lewis King, with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, Frank Allen King of Milwaukee, Wis., and Willie James King of Peoria; three daughters, Miss Gladys Grace, Miss Bernice Elaine and Miss Bobby Joyce King, all at home; one sister, Mrs. Charlene Eskford of Blue Mountain, Miss.; and three brothers, Frank Jones Jr. and Henry B. Jones, both of Peoria, and Roy Lee Jones of Milwaukee, Wis.
Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
She died Friday Oct 24, 1969 with publication Thurs., Oct. 30, 1969 in the Peoria Journal Star, Evening Edition, page D-8.
