She was born the daughter of Frank and Helen (Gebo) St. Louis.
Margaret graduated from St. John's High Academy in 1944; she then went on to Plattsburgh State Teachers College, graduating in 1948. Soon after graduation she began teaching kindergarten at Dannemora Elementary School, retiring in 1987.
She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Baker, who passed away in 1993; and a stepdaughter, Margaret "Peggy" Schramm.
Margaret is survived by two daughters, Ann Chauvin and her companion, Brian Germain of Clearwater, Fla., and Donna Caramia and her husband, Thomas of Plattsburgh; a stepdaughter, Susan Bulriss and her husband, Michael of Texas; and two grandchildren
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Lake Church on Cumberland Head; entombment will be at Whispering Maples Memorial Gardens in Plattsburgh.
