Phyllis M. Otto, 86, Schofield, died Saturday May 13, 2017 at St. Clare's Hospital. She was born February 5, 1931 in Wausau, daughter of the late August Berg and Arlene (Faulks) Berg. On March 22, 1952 she married William Otto in Schofield, WI. He preceded her in death on July 4, 2005.

She was a homemaker and stay at home mom to two children. She enjoyed putting puzzles together, attending family reunions, cooking, baking and caring for her home and yard. Her faith was am important part of her life and she was involved in the church as a Sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher. She also enjoyed going out to eat with her family and friends. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and made 5 trips there with family and lastly for her daughter's wedding.

Survivors include her daughter Shirley (Mark) Summers, Schofield, and son, James Otto, Schofield, two grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Otto, Wausau, and Alex Otto, Illinois, sister, Lois (Donald) Myhre, Chaseburg, WI and 5 nieces and 1 nephew.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and their husbands Dorothy (Harry) Klemke and Donna (James) Kamke.

A memorial service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 1351 Grand Ave., Schofield on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Service at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Walter Davidson will be officiating. John J. Buettgen Funeral Home is assisting family at this time.
