Andrew Michael “Mike” Burgess, 54 of Marysville, died unexpectedly, Monday, May 22, 2017 at his home.
He was born September 14, 1962 in Logan, West Virginia to the late Andrew and Katherine (Maynard) Burgess. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Darrell, Bobby, Billy, Jimmy and Randy Burgess; a sister, Linda Kerswill.
On February 13, 1995 he married the former Barbara L. House in Columbus, and she survives in Marysville.
He had worked at Honda for 15 years in Final Paint Repair and had attended Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church in Delaware. Mike was a home-body, enjoying spending time with family and his beloved cat, Angel.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Adam Burgess; Fulton; granddaughter, Mila Burgess, Fulton; his adopted mom, Mary Burgess, Racoon, Kentucky; a brother, Jerry (Violet) Burgess, Ashville; a sister-in-law, Teresa Burgess, Columbus; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home, Richwood with Pastor Dennis Peters officiating. Burial will follow in Radnor Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 PM at the funeral home in Richwood.
