Wife of famous linguist and renown writer Charles Berlitz, who authored best sellers on paranormal phenomena and The Bermuda Triangle. The two first met each other in 1950 at Montauk Point, Long Island, and married a year later. From 1961 to 1965, Valerie and Charles co-wrote and published language texts for children. To better facilitate his paranormal research, they moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the early 1980's. A talent in her own right, Valerie was also a teacher, artist, garden designer, decorator, as well as a mother. Their marriage produced two children; a daughter, Lin, and son, Marc.
