On February 1, 1865 he was advanced to Sergeant, and was honorably mustered out on July 17, 1865.
He was married to Joanna Abbott, and they had at least three children - Grover (d.1873), William P. (b.1877) and Pauline V. (b. 1883).
His post-war career was as a conductor for the West Jersey and Seashore Railroad Company.
In 1891 he filed for a United States Army Invalid Veteran Pension (Application #1068528, Certificate #822647, NY).
