He was a son of Daniel Patrick Sinclair and Lillie O'Brien Sinclair and the husband of Ruby Ivey Sinclair. He was the manager of the Maxton Supply Company cotton gin. He had also worked for the McNair Dairy, and was in a bluegrass band called The Dunk Sinclair Band.

In addition to his wife, Ruby, he was survived by a step-son, three step-daughters, nine step-grandchildren, and one step-great grandchild.

Married Ruby Morris Ivey on January 17, 1944 in Robeson County, N.C.

Maxton - Duncan Patrick Sinclair, 56, manager of Maxton Supply Co. cotton gin, died Thursday. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday in Centre Presbyterian Church by the Rev. Robert K. Gistafson and the Rev. Jerry Townsend. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Morris Sinclair; two brothers, S. H. of Maxton and Neil Sinclair of Little Rock, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Hoyle Smith of Maxton and Mrs. Walter Dodd of Waco; a stepson, Lewis A. Ivey of Maxton; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Wade Simmons of Greenville, S.C., Mrs. Marcus Stark of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Mrs. Raymond McCabe of Fayetteville; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
