Amelia Jane Armstrong
Yes she's gone, passed from this earth away, passed from this lone and dreary night, to that bright eternal day, and while we mourn, she sings with angels bright, for long years she served her God, and in the path of virtue trod, then submitted humbly to the chastening hand and gently passed into the spirit land. Grief and care are hers no more, for now she sings on bright Cannon shores, no more by racking pain oppressed, gone from this world of woe, to an eternal rest. And you who in great bereavement mourn, and whose hearts by deep grief are torn beyond deaths dark flood shes borne, prepare to meet her in the judgement morn. Children who mourn their mother dear, served the God she served with fear, for your deep loss is her great gain, let not a mothers prayers then be in vain. Companions of her earlier youth, with whom she lived in faithful truth, in thy deep affliction look to God, and meekly kiss the chastening rod. And may the God of truth and love, fit you all for that world above, and when like her, you shall have done with time, may you with her in heavenly mansions shine.
