Married to Hadidjah Sakiri (Lydia) for 40 long years, father of two and grandfather of four.
He worked at the mines for 25 years up in Newman with Mt Newman Mining back in the 70's and 80's and then changed over to BHP Billiton for the remainder. He started of as a dump truck driver and worked his way up finally working in a job which he loved which was with his blasting crew as a 'POWDER MONKEY'
Nicknamed 'Poppy' he was a man who always liked to walk everywhere especially his favourite 'backtracks' behind his house in Hillman. He also loved his pear tree!
He was kind and a gentle man and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
