Middleton, TN - Funeral services for Rev. Jerry Shaver, age 73, will be held 1 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Humboldt with Rev. Steve Cavitt and Rev. Harold Nation officiating. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Gibson, TN.

Bro. Shaver died Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born in Gibson, TN to the late R.C. Shaver and Francis Sanford.

Bro. Shaver was currently serving as the Pastor for Middleton, Reeves and Powells Chapel United Methodist Churches. He was also a longtime owner of the Humboldt Sports Center. Bro. Shaver was an active member of Emmaus Community.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jane Shaver; two daughters, Jerri Shaver Ison of Birmingham, AL and Cheryl Shaver of Atlanta, GA; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Katie Ison both of Birmingham, AL; one brother, Charles Shaver of Nashville, TN; one sister, Delilah O'Neil of Powhatan, VA.

Visitation with the family will be held this evening from 5 til 8 p.m. and on Monday from 11 a.m. til service time 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Humboldt.
