Born in Kastellaun, Germany 1938. Married John Golden Sr. 1958. Had five children- Diana, Steven, John Jr., Teresa and Nancy.
Mom learned to speak English watching soap operas on television. Mom later became a naturalized citizen of the United States and became a nurse.
Mom was a very caring person as was evident in her career as a nurse. Mom was also a very outspoken presence. This is, as I believe, inherent from her German heritage and very evident in all five of her children.
Mom died of complications resulting from a stroke that was in part due to high blood pressure and smoking. As a result I quit smoking then and haven't smoked since.
Special thanks to W.A. ...In memory of my Beloved Son Gary, who has sponsored Mom's page. Thank you all for the heartfelt messages and flowers left for Mom.
Your friend and companion,
John
