This is Marty. Wow….words cant explain how calm, cool and sweet this dog was. When I first opened his cage he walk quietly to the door and sat at my feet with his head down. I looked down and said "I am going to take you on a walk big guy". His tail started wagging and I laughed and said "I knew you could smile". He spent his last walk smelling everything and trying to lick my hands. We walked into the room where he was going to be euthanized. He knew what was going to happen but I could tell he wasn't scared. He laid in my arms looked at me almost saying "It's ok". At this point he was the one comforting me. I told him that I was sorry… That he was a stronger person than I ever would be… and that I loved him.
