Zerelda Seyler was the daughter of John Skoglund and Mary Jane Svenson Skoglund. Zerelda's sister was Betty Jane Skoglund. Her family was of Swedish descent. At the age of 33, she was killed by a drunken driver in a car crash. She was buried on August 10th at Randolph Memorial Gardens, but her headstone appears to be missing. Zerelda was known by her nickname, "Zee". She enjoyed singing and was a short story writer. She was a fun-loving and vivacious woman who is still very much missed.
Zerelda Skoglund married Billy May of Fort Worth, TX in 1961. Zerelda and Billy had two daughters, Sharon Janice May (born in December 1961) and Angela Lynn May (born in January of 1963). The girls were raised by their paternal grandmother, Mattie Kight May. Zerelda also had a son, Randal Seyler. The two daughters were separated from their half-brother; however, Angela was glad to meet her brother, Randal, in December of 2007.
