He is the son of John Albert Fletcher and his wife, Sophia Warner. He was a 1923 Graduate of West Point Military Academy. He died in an airplane crash during a training flight. He crashed into Trinity Bay near San Antonio, Texas. He was a Second Lieutenant at his death.
