Born into this world on June 2, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa, he was named after his grandfather, Fred Copeland; a jazz musician (his wife was Maude (Adams). As a youth, he was a model airplane builder, water skier, kite flyer, roller skating competitor, ROTC class member, avid dancer, and a natural leader.

Fred's parents are Joseph Milton Good who passed in 1997 (Joe's parents are: Jim & Dolly (Murphy), and Maryann (Copeland). He has one surviving sister; Susan Pereira (husband John, 2 daughters and 2 sons).

Fred served 3 years in the United States Air Force; Strategic Air Command and was stationed at Goosebay, and then at Turner Air Force Base in Georgia.

Fred married his high school sweetheart, Helen (Lehmann), in 1962. They have 2 children; son, Randy (passed in 1996), and daughter, Cheri. Also, his cherished grandchildren; James, Holly-Anne, and Steven.

Fred was a 36 year member of the Sundowners Motorcycle Club of the San Fernando Valley, CA. He was known as Fast Fred- "The Legend" and was well respected by all of his brothers, as well as other members of other clubs. He was the innovator of setting many standards in his world and, in my eyes, the epitomy & image of the early day "biker" lifestyle. He lived the life the average citizen dreamed about or feared; being totally free and staying true to his individuality and his word .

Fred worked for 41 years as a Journeyman Auto Mechanic and was the owner of Sultan Transmission & Automotive for 11 1/2 years. He could diagnose and fix anything! He was well liked and respected by his customers, community, and business peers. He got a kick out of repairing the town police vehicles, and taking them out for a test spin.

Dad lived life on his own terms, took care of his family & "brothers", was a mentor/teacher to many people, and rode his Harley Davidson motorcyle fast in the wind.
He was steady as a rock, the glue that held everyone together, and the instigator/orchestrator of many different things.
He sure had alot of fun and was one unique character.
Thank you for everything, Dad!
