Maria Rutzinger Rosati was the cousin of my grandmother.

Leonard R. Rosati, of Stratford, CT,
passed away peacefully at his home with his loving family by his side. Mr. Rosati is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ann Christiano Rosati. He was the son of the late Adriano and Maria (Rutzinger) Rosati. Besides his wife, he is survived by three loving children; a son, Adrian Rosati and his wife Margie of Seymour, son Leonard P. Rosati and his wife Jean of Shelton, and daughter, Marie Carloni and her husband Frank, of Monroe, his seven cherished grandchildren, Wendy Rosati, Richard Rosati, Kristine Damone and husband Matthew, Leonard Rosati and wife Amy, Philip Rosati and wife Tanya, Deanna Devloo and husband Steven and Lindsey Carloni and fianc Jonathan Echiverria along with five great-grandchildren, Max, Sam, Jake, Lauren, and Alexa. Born in New York, Leonard was a graduate of Stuyvesant High School and Murray Hill Trade School. A retired architectural draftsman for J&G Glass, he volunteered much of his time-sharing his vast knowledge of reading and writing to literacy programs in the Greater Bridgeport area. He received an award and was honored by the Hartford Courant in 1988 as an "extraordinary person" for his volunteerism and multi-lingual expertise. He was a long time member of St. Mark's Church. He was an avid reader and gardener, taking great pride in his beautiful gardens. His wisdom, calm disposition and sense of humor touched everyone who knew and loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in St. Jude R.C. Church, Monroe, CT. Monsignor Lawrence Mc Mahon officiated.
