Student, Michael Blosil of the Los Angeles Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, changed his last name to Bryan just days before his death. He was the 18 year old adopted son of entertainer Marie Osmond and ex-husband Brian Blosil.

Michael was described as a lighthearted person and a deep thinker who had a brilliant sense of humor and a kind, generous heart. He was an accomplished musician who played five instruments, he wrote original songs and worked with special-needs kids. He was in his first year of studying apparel manufacturing an had planned on a career in retail marketing and design.

Michael was survived by his biological mother and his adoped parents, Marie Osmond and Brian Blosil; seven siblings, Stephen James Craig Blosil, Rachel Blosil, Matthew Blosil, Jessica Blosil, Brandon Blosil, Brianna Blosil, and Abigal Blosil; and a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Virl Osmond sr., who passed away on November 6th, 2007 and his grandmother, Olive Osmond, who passed away on May 9th, 2004.

His family and friends gathered into a Chapel near the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Provo, Utah, to pay their last homage to Michael. Graveside services were conducted on Monday, March 8th, 2010 at the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo, Utah, the bereaved ones penned their personal tidings on orange balloons and released them into the azure sky.

THIS IS A TRIBUTE IN MEMORY OF MICHAEL,

I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when my life is done.
