Marjorie was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of William Edward Barrass and Ethel Brown.

When World War I began her father joined the Canadian Expeditionary Forces. The family returned to Leeds, Yorkshire, England for the duration of the war. After the war, the Barrass family departed from Liverpool, England on the SS Metagama and arrived in Quebec July 6, 1919. They lived in Detroit for awhile, and by 1929 were living at 1103 Erie St. E, Windsor, Ontario.

Marjorie married Joseph Bernard Augustin Maurice May 23, 1931 at L'Assomption Church, Windsor, Ontario. They had five children: Robert Bernard Maurice, Donald Edward Maurice, Margaret Jeanette Maurice, Eileen Maurice (1937-1938) and Charlene Joyce Anne Maurice.

Marjorie married Royal Lewis McClymont June 15, 1960 in South Woodslee, Ontario.

Beloved wife of the late Roy (1969) and Gus Maurice (1957) Loving mother of Robert and wife Cathy Maurice, Donald and wife Jackie Maurice, Margaret Valade, Charlene and husband Charlie Hamelin. Loving grandma of Robert, Neil, Kim, Scott, Sharron, Robert, Michelle, Buddy, Kathy, Tim, Keith and Karen. 15 great grand children also survive. Dear sister of Sadie Douglas, Joyce Thompson, and the late Doreen, Edmund and Edna.

Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke or charity of choice if you so desire .

Visiting Thursday 7-9 p.m. Friday 2-9 p.m. Funeral service Satuurday 10 a.m. at Melady Funeral Home and Chapel. 572 Notre Dame Street Belle River. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens.

A tree will be planted in memory of Marjorie McClymont in the Janisse, Marcotte Melady Memorial Forest. A dedication service will be held Sunday September 29,1996. All are welcome.
