James Blatsioris, Sr. Ogden Dunes/Gary James Blatsioris, Sr., age 79, of Ogden Dunes, a Gary resident for 63 years, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2005. He was a graduate of Froebel High School; a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in WWII; a member of Roosevelt Masonic Lodge #716 F. and A.M. and the Scottish Rite South Bend Consistory, the Orak Shrine of Michigan City. Preceded in death by his parents: Gus and Margaret Blatsioris; sister, Angie Barthel and God Son, Michael Coros. James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Canella Blatsioris of Ogden Dunes; daughter, Margie Blatsioris of Lexington, IN; sons: Jim Blatsioris, Jr. of Ogden Dunes and Dean Blatsioris of Munster; daughter, Georgia Hullsiek of Chesterton; seven grandchildren: Brad and Heidi Hullsiek, Lance, Megan, Jared, Ashley and Alysia Blatsioris; sister, Fran Coros of FL. Trisagion Service will be Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. Roosevelt Lodge #716 will hold memorial service Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services were at SS. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 8000 Madison, Merrillville. Interment Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary.
