Passed away at his home in Carrollton. He was 50 years old. Mark A. Doozan was born on July 22, 1960 in Saginaw to the late Carl and Shirley (Lovay) Doozan. He married Denise Huron on July 11, 1981 in Saginaw. She survives him.

Mark volunteered with the Boy Scouts as a Scoutmaster. He was a member of the Carrollton Recreation Department and enjoyed coaching football, baseball and basketball. He also was the president and a school board member for the Carrollton School District. Mark was an active member of St. Joseph Parish and served as a Eucharist minister and a minister to the sick and homebound. He was a member of the funeral luncheon committee, the parish council, and he served as president of the hospitality ministry.

Mark was studying to become a commissioned lay minister for the Saginaw Diocese. Marks hobbies included camping, golfing and hunting. He was an avid sports fan, loved sitting around his pond, caring for his yard and loving his dogs. Left to treasure his memory is his wife, Denise; two sons: Andrew (fiancé Sylvia Cavazos) and Matthew Doozan; two grand children: Thomas and Leah Doozan; his mother-in-law: Carolyn Huron: ten siblings: Kathy Loeschner, Carrie Brightwell, Carl (Judy) Doozan, Robert (Louise) Doozan, Thomas (Lori) Doozan, David (Sue) Doozan, Barbara (Larry) Hrinik, Janice (Dennis) Latty, Gregory (Valerie) Doozan, Patty (Bob) Quinn; his sister-in-law: Susan (Ted) Kessler; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles and extended family.

He was predeceased by his parents, Carl and Shirley Doozan; and his brother, Glen Doozan.

Mark's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 20, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910 N. Sixth St. Rev. Fr. Francis Voris, OFMCap will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION: Friends are welcome to visit with Mark's family at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., (off State) on Sunday, June 19, 2011 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Mark will lie in state at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
