Vivian Clara Jones of Cadillac, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday June 5, 2010 at SunShine AFC. She was 87 years old. Vivian was born on January 30, 1923 in Runcorn, England to Arthur and Clara Hole. She served in the English Army during WWII where she met the love of her life, Robert Jones. Robert was serving in the United States Army and although Robert had to return to America in 1945, he would travel to England two years later to marry his precious Vivian. Married July 10, 1947 in Runcorn, England, they would spend the rest of their lives together. Vivian worked as the bookkeeper for her husband's business. Together they ran the Cadillac Sewing Center for 25 years. Vivian was a loving and dedicated mother and wife. Vivian loved gardening, traveling, and the simple pleasures of life. She had a gentle kindness that was so beautiful. Although Alzheimer's robbed so much from her, God gave her the strength to retain a kind and loving heart to the very end. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert on May 13, 2010; her son, Kent Jones; grandson, Tyler Lenten; brother, Arnold Hole; and sister, Katherine Oates. She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, sisters, Audrey Yates and Jessie Winterburn, both of England, Visitation: Wednesday June 9, 2010 at 10 a.m. until the time of services at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home in Cadillac. Funeral services: Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Hitesman-Holdship Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jack Miller. Interment: Maple Hill Cemetery, Cadillac.
