Rose Elsie Bruno Danna, 98, went to meet Our Lord on Sunday, June 24, 2012. She passed away in her devoted, caregiver and daughter, Patricia Zagone's home where she resided for six years and previous to that lived in Monroe, Louisiana with her husband, C.P. Danna and were owners of Danna's grocery & market for more than forty years. During their retirement, she was very productive. She was a talented seamstress, and had many hobbies consisting of ceramic painting, making artificial arrangements, dolls and their clothing, and cooking. She loved her family and was an inspirational mother and second mother to her grandchildren She will be remembered for her love and sweetness to everyone. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and previously a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe, Louisiana. Mrs. Danna was born on May 18, 1914 in Beaumont, TX. Mrs. Danna loved life and enjoyed every moment of it. While living in Baton Rouge, she spent much of her time studying about flowers and had a great love for her beautiful flowers in her garden devoted to the Blessed Mother.

Survivors include her two daughters, Patricia Zagone of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Carmela Richard and husband, Alfred, nine grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, John Zagone, Jr and wife Paula and sons, Christopher and daughter, Lilly, and Matthew., Susan Schillage and son Michael, Jeff Zagone and his wife, Heidi and sons Ryan and Benjamin , Polly Rinaudo and husband, Randy and children Nicole and Thomas, Sheila Sebastien and her husband, Scott and children, Morgan, Sean, Christian and Maria, Shawne Sobiesk and her husband, Dr. John Sobiesk, and children, Logan, Dylan, Evan, Mary Catherine and Brennan, Shelley Sadler and her husband, Grant and sons, Oliver and Finley, Dr. Al Richard and his wife, Danielle and son, Aidan, Shari Peck and her husband, Ron, and children, Meghan, Tyler, Cameron and Madison.

She was preceded in death by her husband, C.P.Danna, her son-in-law, John Zagone, Sr. and her brothers, Charlie Bruno, Vincent Bruno Leonard Bruno.

Visitation will be held at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Lamy Lane on Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 9:00 A.M. until 10 A. M. Recitation of the rosary will be by Deacon Jerome Collins at 10:00 A.M. and Mass of Christian burial conducted by Father Sebastian Kallarackal and assisted by Deacon Jerome Collins, at 11:00 A.M. in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe, followed by entombment at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Pallbearers are John Zagone, Jr., Jeff Zagone, Al Richard, Alfred Richard, Randy Rinaudo and John Sobiesk.
