Son of John & Katherine Koper.
Eddie was the 1st of 3 children that were born on September 12th in their family. Second, was Margaret Rita Koper, in 1920, then my Daddy, Irvin Francis Koper, in 1925.
Tragically, Eddie and Walter both got sick when Eddie was three. This was prior to the discovery of penicillin.
Walter survived, little Eddie didn't. Eddie died of diptheria at age 3 years 19 days.
His death certificate has the wrong birthdate on it.
Eddie was survived by his parents, John & Katherine Koper.
He was also survived by older siblings Helen Margaret, Lottie, Walter, & younger brother, Norbert.
Grandma Koper was pregnant at the time of Eddie's death. When the little girl was born on February 9, 1918, she was named Edwina Dorothy in his honor.
As far as I know there isn't a picture of Eddie.
I'm sure there was one or two at some time but they got lost in the family over the years.
The photos posted are of his parents & siblings; the people he would have looked like had he lived.
All the Koper "Boys" were handsome so I'm sure Eddie would've been, too.
~Thanks to the people at Sweetest Heart of Mary Church I was able to verify Eddie's birth date as being September 12th.
They provided me with a Baptismal record for him and a copy of the Church record pertaining to his death and burial.~
I still don't know his exact burial location in the cemetery but I've learned a lot.

Gravesite Details
Gravesite was unmarked & Church records were damaged by flood, when records were moved to a cemetery office it was destroyed by fire in the 1970's. Exact plot info is now lost & anyone in the family who was there & would remember is gone, too.
