Margo was a lovely, refined woman who was loving, spiritual, and gentle. She was very fair-minded, and gave of herself to others. She attended UCLA, graduating with a degree in music. She taught music in Beverly Hills after graduating from college. Margo recorded songs as a back-up singer, and proudly told people of her joy of singing, although she generally was too shy to sing for us. She enjoyed the real estate market, and enjoyed buying and selling her own homes after obtaining her real estate agent license. She also loved antiques, and bought and sold antiques and collectibles. Margo could not watch an old movie on Turner Classic Movies without noticing the furniture in the movie scenery, saying something like,"Oh my, do you see that old lamp in the background on that desk? I wonder how much it would sell for today?"
Shortly before Margo passed away, her dear friend Bea Wyman died. Bea had been Margo's confidant and close friend for several decades. Margo often recalled the wonderful times spent with Bea and Bea's husband. After Bea died, it seemed that Margo's health declined rapidly.
One of Margo's personal truisms was, "Don't be too hard on people. If they could do any better they'd be doing it." And her goal for living each day was to seek "the highest good for all concerned."
Margo was a tender, feminine, genteel woman. She was intellectually gifted.
The cause of her death was chronic emphysema.
Margo is survived by her brother, Bill Neely, of Yuma, Arizona, as well as by her many friends at Unity Hall in Sun City, California.
