Baby daughter of Wally and Daisy Dawson. Younger sister of Yvonne.

Jo Ellen Dawson passed away just two days into her life. Her mother, Daisy, had a hard time delivering her, and was in a coma.

No one took a picture of her, or even put anything remotely loving on her grave marker. They only put the date of her death, not her birthday.

Daisy didn't even get to name her own baby, or even see her. Everyone was made to act as if Jo had never even been born.

All my life, I was interested in this baby aunt that no one ever knew. I want to celebrate her life, no matter how short, and despite the fact that I wasn't even born yet.

The smudges you can see on her grave marker are the tears I shed while clearing away the grass that had grown over her stone. I tried to wipe them away, but they stayed.
