Services for Rona Wynell (Morris) Cavender, 31, of Durant, Oklahoma, will be held Thursday, February 7, 2008 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church in Durant. Rev. Richard Magby and Rev. Tom Hargrave will officiate.

Rona was born Sept, 10, 1976 in Dallas, Texas to Johnny and Alvanell (McDaniel) Morris.

As a child she was very proud of attending Church and Sunday School for five years without missing a day. She attended and graduated from Tushka High School (Oklahoma). She continued her education by receiving her Associates Degree from Grayson County College (Denison, Texas) in Drug and Alcohol Counseling. She received her Bachelors Degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma and Masters Degree in Education from Walden University.

She married the love of her life Brent Cavender on May 18, 2002 in Durant, Oklahoma.

She taught elementary school in Durant, Oklahoma and touched many childrens lives at the Robert E. Lee Elementary School.

The joys of her life were her two children:
COLBY AND CANNON

She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She was a member of the Victory Life Church and she enjoyed reading and playing with her children, talking to her mom on the phone everyday, camping, showing chickens in 4-H, and playing basketball. Rona will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cause of death: Auto accident.

Rona was preceded in death by her infant son, and her grandparents, Jewel and Lois Morris.

Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Durant, OK.

Honorary Pallbearers:
Kinion Whittington, Mike Dills, Rocky McDaniel, and Travis McDaniel.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 6-8 PM

An educational fund has been established for Colby and Cannon Cavender at Landmark Bank.
