A veteran, Glen served in the U. S. Army for six years, achieving the rank of SGT. Homeless and alone at the time of his death, no family could be located and no one claimed his body. He received a burial with full military honors through Dignity Memorial's Homeless Veterans Burial Program in February of 2008. None of those attending had ever met Glen when he was alive.

*His father was a San Fransico police officer (John "Jack" Nezik 1914-1977) who died in the line of duty. His mother was Edna Nezik (1923-2001) and Glenn seems to have had as many as six siblings. He was married in 1982 and separated 6 months later. He was divorced in 1984. He moved to St. Louis in 1983 after being released from the Wayne county Jail in Richmond Indiana.
Nezik was a Military Police, who was stationed at Ft McClellan for Basic and AIT, served in Germany then in California with the 980th MP Company.

**An Infantryman, he served as a Unit Policeman with the 21st Replacement Battalion at Gutleut Kaserne in Frankfurt, Germany.
