Pfc. Michael R. Patton of Fenton, Missouri graduated from Fox High School in Arnold in 2007 where he played on the varsity soccer team and was popular among his classmates. He wanted to be a member of the armed forces ever since he was 5 years old and joined the Marines shortly after graduating from high school and had been stationed at Twentynine Palms Marine Base in California before being sent to Afghanistan in April. Michael had been married to his high school sweetheart for about a year. He was 19.
