Otis Gene Larsen was born on Feb. 26, 1934 in Iowa Park, Texas to John and Vivian Larsen. On Nov. 10, 1987, he married Carolyn Jean Gajewskey in Bay City, Texas. Otis lived in Sargent, Texas from 1994 to 2004, when he moved to Sealy, Texas. He was the former owner of Katy Drilling Company.
Otis passed away on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, at the age of 76 years.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Carolyn Larsen of Sealy, Texas; children; Ben J. Larsen of Sealy, Texas, D. Kirby Larsen of San Antonio, Texas and Tiffany N. Sodolak of Cypress, Texas; as well as five grandchildren, Ashley Larsen, Jason Larsen, Mallory Larsen, Skylar Sodolak and Dashel Sodolak.
The family will receive friends from 9:30-11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 15, 2010 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday with Rev. Marlin Fenn officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at the Chesterville Cemetery, near Eagle Lake, Texas.
