"Mrs. Johnson is Victim of Fall.
Injuries Fatal To Aged Princeton Resident; Funeral Services Will Be Held On Wednesday Afternoon.
Mrs. Matilda Johnson, 81, member of a prominent pioneer Mercer County family, died Sunday afternoon at her home in Princeton, succumbing to complications developing from injuries sustained Friday when she fell from an automobile at her home.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Christian Church, Princeton, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Frank L. Stuck. Burial will follow at a Princeton cemetery.
Mrs. Johnson, who had been in good health until the injury, suffered two broken ribs and other injuries.
The deceased was the daughter of the late Rev. James Calfee, of Bluefield, where she lived for a number of years. Her husband W.M. Johnson, died several years ago.
Survivors include the following sons and daughters: J.W. and Peo Johnson of Chester, PA; Mrs. Ora Compton of Beckley; Mrs. M. Hambrick of Chester, PA; Erie and Stanley Johnson of Princeton; Milton Johnson of Northfork, WV, and Erit Johnson of South Dakota. Another daughter, Mrs. Bob Walters, died agout a year ago.
Other survivors include the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Gilbert Williams, Mrs. Laura Bailey, Miss Snow Calfee and William Calfee, all of Walton Avenue, Bluefield, and Mrs. Thompson of Milton, Oregon."

Matilda "Till" was the daughter of Rev. James Calfee and Elizabeth Virginia Bailey. She married William Milton Johnson. Matilda and Will had another child, Benjamin H., who died at the age of eighteen months.
