Bob Elkins
1995 ~ By, Mickie Geck

Loving and tender-hearted
Soft spoken and always kind,
Quick of wit with twinkling eyes
And a mischievous, playful mind.

A bit of a backyard farmer,
Blessed with talents that never end,
A singer, a servant, a leader,
A master carpenter, a loyal friend.

He's built everything from gun racks,
To furniture, cabinets, and such;
He "lives" in his basement workshop,
Giving each treasure the "Elkins touch"

If you can name it, he can build it,
And the results could not be greater,
Just ask our preacher, who is forever thankful,
For our podium with an "elevator."

If it's good to eat, he can grow it,
How his backyard does abound,
Providing his wife with all she needs
To make the best cobbler in town.

It's clear to all he has a heart
That is big and in the right place,
And you will rarely see Bob Elkins,
Without a gentle smile on his face.
