Paul's body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Carson Funeral Home in Dayton. Pastor Richard Laird will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., at Carson Funeral Home in Dayton. A private family scattering of cremains will be held at a later date.
Paul Martin Herrick was born on January 26, 1963, in Fort Dodge, Iowa, the son of Eugene and Arlene (Hotek) Herrick. He was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Dayton. Paul graduated with the Central Webster High School Class of 1981. While in school he was active in many sports. Paul had been employed as a laborer by Ulicki construction and Tony Brundage Painting and by Dean Runyon and Jim Ganeff Lehigh as a farm hand.
Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting.
Survivors include his son, Eric Harrison of Harcourt, Iowa; parents, Gene and Arlene Herrick of Lehigh, Iowa; a sister, June and her husband Larry Mumper of Dayton, Iowa; two brothers, Steve Herrick of Dayton, Iowa and Mark and his wife Sherri Herrick of Dayton, Iowa; and nieces and nephews.
A memorial stone was placed at West Lawn Cemetery, in Lehigh, Webster, Iowa.
