This is my dad.

Saturday May 3. 2008 Daddy was setting at his computer when he had a sudden heart attack. He was gone instantly, mom worked on him for about a 1/2 hour till the fire rescue arrived, they worked on him, then transported him to the hospital. He never regained any heart beat and only a very slight pulse which was probably due to the work the EMT's were doing.
Dad had been suffering for years with several illnesses such as a bad heart, high blood pressure, COPD, his kidneys has failed and he was on dialsys for about 3 weeks before passing. He could hardly walk and was always in pain of one type or another.
I know in my heart he is much better off now, there is no more pain, no more meds, no more doctors, no more hospitals. He can walk again without a walker or 2 canes, he can breath again with out oxygen tanks, he can go more then 10 feet without being exhausted and out of breath, and the thing I know he is enjoying the most is being with his Daddy again. Probably out fishing with him right now!!

Daddy was born in a coal camp in Harlan Ky, he was a blue baby, and only weighed 4 pounds. He almost died at birth, but grew into a 6 foot 4 giant, and weighed over 300 pounds at one time. He was born with health problems and kept them all his life but he never let them get him down. The day before he passed away, he had mom take him to see all us kids, and had him a steak dinner.

Sears,Sr., Rev. Richard Allen, 69 of Ocklawaha, died Saturday May 3, 2008 in Ocala, Florida. He was born December 8, 1938 in Harlan County, Kentucky to Allen and Edith Sears. Rev. A life sized statue was commissioned and displayed in the Medical Museum in Chicago, Illinois. Later in Life he attended the Midwestern Baptist Bible College in Pontiac, Michigan. Rev. Sears is Survived by his Wife of 49 yrs Ruth Ann Sears of Ocklawaha, His Mother Edith Mae Eads, Five Children Gregory Dwayne, Teresa Runa', Richard Allen, Jr., Joyce Lynn and John Lawrence, Eight Grandchildren and a Great Grandson all of the Ocala area.
