Harry Andrew Glorius died Tuesday at Munroe Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. A native of Washington, D.C., Mr. Glorius was born in 1892.
He was a retired contractor and moved to Marion County five years ago from Miami. Mr. Glorius was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna S. Glorius; six daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Jameson, Mrs. Evelyn Hensley, Miss Avis Glorius, Hialeah, Mrs. Betty Horn and Mrs. Pat Lott, both of Miami, and Miss Rita Glorius; seven sons, Harry T, Hyattsville, Md., Bernard W., Colmar Manor, Md., Robert F., Miami, Lawrence E., Vincent D., Russell I., and Richard A., all of Ocala.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Torrillo, Brentwood Md., and Mrs. Eleanore Duff, Washington, D.C.; two brothers, George Glorius, Washington, D.C. and Phil I. Glorius, Miami; 23 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Bernard Wallach of Ocala.
The body will be sent Friday to Miami for funeral services and interment. Hiers Funeral Home has charge of local arrangements.
