At the age of 79, he passed away suddenly on Tuesday at Jersey Shore Hospital. Robert resided at East Valley Road, Loganton, [Clinton county, Pennsylvania]. He was the son of the late Harry Edward Harbach and Catharine Sarah Englert Harbach. After graduation from Sugar Valley High School, he was a farm manager and served in the U.S. Army in Colorado and in Greenland. He later attended Elizabethtown College for his pastoral ordination in 1966. He worked for many years at Piper Aircraft as a tool and die maker and machinist while pastoring the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren in Eastville. In later years, he was self-employed as a carpenter and contractor. Rev. Harbach was survived by his wife of 55 years, Anna Mae Heggenstaller. He is also survived by four children: Cindy Bowers of Rohrersville, Maryland; Beverly Young of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania; Vernon Harbach of Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania; and Katrina Harbach of Montana; a son-in-law, Barry Horst of Hanover; one brother, David Harbach of Antes Fort; four sisters, Dolly Leigey of Karthaus and Betty Ruhl and Dorothy Laubach of Loganton, and Shirley Reninger of South Williamsport; and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Harry Harbach Jr., and a daughter, Carolyn (Harbach) Horst. He was a lifelong sportsman and enjoyed outdoor activities. He also enjoyed woodworking, cabinet-making, trapping and basket- weaving. Visitation was held on Saturday, January 27, 2007, at the Sugar Valley Church of the Brethren, 2365 E. Winter Road, Loganton and again on Sunday, January 28, 2007. [He was the grandson of Ida Christiana (Ohnmeiss) Harbach]
