Mayor of Springfield, Illinois. Died of an apparent suicide within his home.

His parents are Robert E. and Norene OBrien Davlin. He married Nancy L. Conway in 1977 and they had four children. He was preceded in death by his father.

Survived by his mother; four children, Tara L. Davlin , Shalaigh M. Davlin (Christopher Koehl), Mallory C. Davlin (fiance Dylan Simonds), and Ryan (Jenna) Davlin; four grandchildren, Connor Davlin, Cole Davlin, Chloe Davlin and Colin Koehl; three sisters CarolAnn (Gerald) Walton, Kathleen Davlin and Maureen Davlin; 3 brothers Michael (Carol) Davlin, Patrick (Rae Marie) Davlin and Kevin J. Davlin, several aunts and uncles and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He graduated from Blessed Sacrament Grade School and Griffin High School in 1975. He received his Associate of Arts Degree from Springfield College in Illinois. He was a lifelong resident of Springfield and served as Mayor of Springfield from 2003 until present. Tim was an avid Cubs fan who also enjoyed walleye fishing in Canada. He will always be known for his sense of humor and his love of family.

Public visitation is scheduled for Friday, December 17, 2010 from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1725 S. Walnut, Springfield, IL 62704

The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church.

Interment rites will be held at Calvary Cemetery in Springfield, IL.
