US Marine Sergeant Roger William Boyd was a casualty of the Vietnam War. As a member of the Marine Corps Reserve, SGT Boyd served our country until May 23rd, 1968 in Quang Tri, South Vietnam. He was 29 years old and was married. It was reported that Roger died from artillery fire. His body was recovered. Roger was born on July 20th, 1938 in Decatur, Illinois. SGT Boyd is on panel 66E, line 006 of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. He served our country for 10 years.

He was awarded The Combat Action Ribbon(CAR), The Purple Heart Medal for his combat wounds, The Navy Good Conduct Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star, The Vietnam Campaign Medal and The Vietnamese Gallantry Cross Unit Citation.
