Liam (age 10) and his brother, Solon (age 12), were spending the holidays in Kentucky visiting their grandparents.

On Christmas morning their grandparents' home caught on fire. Both boys perished in the fire after numerous attempts by their grandparents to rescue them.

Liam was a fourth grader at Barre Town Middle-Elementary School in Barre, VT. He also played soccer with the Capital Soccer Club. Like Solon, he loved playing and listening to music, sledding, skiing, and hanging out with friends.

Liam loved soccer because of the competition, physical challenge and teamwork. He was an avid reader and loved fantasy fiction. He played the drums and recently started playing the French horn with his school band.

He is remembered for his high energy, joyous approach to life, intensity, quick smile and humorous nature.

He is survived by his parents, four sets of grandparents, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
