The following biography was written by his sister, Marge (member 46895564):

My Dear Brother

Married Judy Tosh on August 16, 1958 in Decatur, Illinois. They were the parents of 2 daughters and 2 sons. He was a grandfather and a great grandfather. He loved his family very much.

Ed was a Christian man. I never ever heard him utter a profane word in his life. He worked hard and was a very responsible person. Family meant everything to him. He was diabetic in later life and lost his eyesight because of it. He went on and tried to do what God asked of him, disregarding his blindness. He had a beautiful singing voice and loved music. He developed cancer of the lungs and fought hard to live. He knew it would be easy to give up and die and go to his wonderful reward in Heaven, but he was so concerned about his family. The circle has now been broken but at least we all have the beautiful memory of a man of God who fought temptation hard to gain his place beside his Lord. Thank you God for allowing us the honor of having him in our family. We love you, Ed, and will see you again in Heaven.

U.S. Army Vietnam War and Marine Reserves.

Memorial sponsored by Beatrice Bennett. Bea, you are so kind for sponsoring yet another of my loved ones. My love goes out to you, sweet lady. For the sadness that we face in life God gives us people like you to make life all worthwhile. Bless your heart.
