Elder John Kramer Hoover is the son of Johann Adam 'Huber' Hoover, and Catherine Kramer. He was born in Morrison's Cove and is interred next to his parents.

In 1805, he married Elizabeth Metzger Brumbaugh in Huntingdon Co. PA. She died Jan. 25, 1860 in Huston Twp. Blair Co. She was born the daughter of George and Susanna (Metzger) Brumbaugh.

Children include: Catherine, Susannah, Elizabeth, Mary, Barbara, George, Christina, Annie, Esther, John, Issac.
