DeLoise Marcheta Isbell Chamberlin, 76, of Abilene, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2005. She is the most beloved, adored, and cherished wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to many and she will be greatly missed.

She was born on January 27, 1929 in Kiowa County, Oklahoma and was preceded in death by her parents Vergie Lenore Ballard Isbell Sutton and Jesse Roscoe Sutton. She married Van Clinton Chamberlin on May 1, 1947 in Roswell, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and a devoted military wife, she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, bowling, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint, and was an excellent horsewoman. She did volunteer work for Meals on Wheels, Girl Scouts, and the PTA.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her beloved husband of 58 years, Van Clinton Chamberlin of Abilene; four daughters, Pamela Jo Kauth and husband Frederick of Homestead, Florida, Diana Lynne Haley and husband David of Vallejo, California, Deborah Marcheta Vanderpool and husband Jarvis of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Vanessa Carol Hutchins and husband Kenny of Abilene; 11 grandchildren, John Clinton Kauth, Janice Marie Brooks and husband Nathan, James Anthony Kauth, Jenessa Pamela Kauth all of Florida, Jessica Lee Cheatham and husband Dale, Sarah Marcheta Kathleen Haley, Jason David Haley and wife, Jessi all of California, Jenna Lynne Smith and husband Chad of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Tyler Carlyle Vanderpool of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Michelle Nicole Hutchins, Stephanie Jo Lenore Hutchins of Abilene; 7 great grandchildren, Haylie Marie Brooks, Abigail Margaret Brooks, Luke Wallace Brooks, Levi Nathan Brooks, Vincent Haley, Emmalee Kathleen Cheatham, and Gavin Maxwell Smith.

Viewing will be from 10 AM to 9 PM on Friday at Elmwood Funeral Home, 5750 HWY 277 South. Her graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday at Elmwood Memorial Park, Garden of Gospels with the Reverend Wayne Oglesby officiating.
