AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Raymond A. Auldridge, 77 of Augusta, entered into rest at Blairhouse Nursing & Rehab. Mr. Auldridge was a life long resident of Blythe, before moving to Augusta several years ago. He owned and operated a grocery store in Blythe for many years. He was a member of Pine View Baptist Church where he was a member of the Mens Sunday School Class, he was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Sisson Auldridge; and his mother, Sybol Auldridge Temples. Survivors include his long time friend, Mae Orander of Augusta; two sons, Ronnie Watts, Hephzibah, and Andrew Auldridge, Blythe; one brother, R. Auldridge, Blythe; two sisters, Frederica, San Diego, Calif., Willifred Luckey, Blythe. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Friday April 19, 2002, from the Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road, with the Rev. Michael Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Blythe Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the funeral home form 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Hubbard, Matt Hubbard, Clint Hubbard, Michael Orander, Robby Canuette, Ronnie Canuette, Donnie Hadden and Jack Jenkins.
